Welcome to letu.ethnosites.com, a digital sanctuary and a living archive dedicated to the rich heritage, language, and culture of the community.

Who we are

Letu.ethnosites.com is a community-driven website dedicated to the Letu people — our language, faith, traditions, and way of life. Built by Letu community members and cultural advocates, this platform was created with one purpose: to ensure that the identity, voice, and legacy of the Letu community are never lost, and that the world has a place to learn about us firsthand.

Our Vision

Language and culture are not static artifacts of the past — they are living identities that thrive through connection. Through this website, we aim to empower local Letu voices, support mother-tongue education, and offer researchers, friends, and the global diaspora an authentic window into who we are. Whether you are a member of the Letu community reconnecting with your roots, or a global neighbor eager to learn about our unique traditions — we welcome you to explore, learn, and grow with us.

Our mission

To preserve our foundational identity for future generations — and to build a vibrant digital bridge connecting the Letu people with the wider world. We believe every people has a story worth telling and a culture worth protecting. Our mission is to document, celebrate, and share what it means to be Letu — through historical documents, visual memories, oral histories, and the everyday stories that hold our community together. We connect the Letu people across generations and across the globe, while also welcoming anyone who wishes to understand and appreciate our culture.

"A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin, and culture is like a tree without roots." — we build those roots, digitally."

Connecting with the world

We are a small but proud community. This website is our bridge — to Letu people living far from home, to researchers and scholars interested in indigenous and ethnic cultures, and to anyone anywhere who is curious about who we are. We share our culture openly, because we believe understanding leads to respect, and respect leads to unity.
